MINDREADER: BEYOND SONIFICATION
Colin Harrington is the mad scientist behind Synesthesia Interactive, the San Francisco start-up that wants to record your dreams.
While persuing his Masters in Music Technology at NYU Steinhardt, Colin developed the Yugen, a translucent projection half dome that has 16 channel audio via contact exciters that vibrate the dome like a resonating chamber. Using an EEG headset and software of his deisign, he is able to read and record your cognative functions to create a complete audio visual experience based on either your dreams or your waking life. Mindreader: Beyond Sonification follows Colin and his Synesthesia team as they complete the Yugen before presenting it for the first time at the Maker Faire in San Mateo. Watch as a wide variety of people experience this groundbreaking technology in their own ways, and hear the beautiful and diverse music of our brains. Feature documentary Coming Spring 2017
