It’s official, DOWNWARD is an Official Selection for the 2011 New Jersey International Film Festival being held this June. It feels like forever away but it’s such a huge relief to know my film was accepted. Sorry I’m a little late posting the news here, I got the call at 10 am on Friday April 8th, and my family and everyone on facebook had to know immediately. It’s playing second to last on the closing night and I will be there to introduce it. This is my first festival experience and excited wouldn’t even come close to describing how I feel about this.
I also hate to say but the documentary I mentioned in my last post is now defunct. It was a medical documentary that I felt very passionate about but I hit some road blocks and I did not want to make the film with the limitations I was given. I would rather not make a great film than make a bad film, but thanks to bureaucracy those were the choices I was left with.
